A special winter treat is being planned by one of our Tramper sites in the coming weeks – with magical light and sound installations.
Sizergh Castle’s Winter Wonderland is the first time that the house will be open in Winter: and the venue is celebrating with a special festive twist.
The garden will feature a nature-themed light and sound experience designed by local artists and inspired by Sizergh’s estate.
Winter at Sizergh will run every day, 12-8pm, from 22 November – 24 December inclusive. For information, visit https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/lake-district/sizergh/winter-at-sizergh
Special Tramper sessions have been created for this event: the Tramper has been made available at 3:30pm and 6pm and can only be used in conjunction with this event. At these times the routes are limited to the lit gravel tracks around the Castle with no access to the formal gardens. More information on booking your Tramper session for Winter Wonderland can be found on our Sizergh Tramper page.
To make it even easier to access, a free shuttle bus is being arranged from Kendal and Oxenholme Station: so you can access this straight from the Avanti West Coast Main Line.
