It gives us great pleasure to announce another new partner site! Working together with North Pennines National Landscape team, who have provided funding through the Defra Access for All Programme, Acorn Bank (Temple Sowerby, near Penrith) can now provide two Trampers to explore the grounds.
Acorn Bank, a beautiful historic house, garden and estate in the Eden Valley, is a tranquil haven with a fascinating industrial past. Enjoy lovely views across the Eden Valley to the Lake District.
As well as the house you can discover the partially restored watermill, enjoy wildlife in the woods on the way, and find out more about the history of gypsum mining on the estate. There is a walled garden, cafe and accessible toilets available on site.
To find out more about Acorn Bank, opening times and facilities, please visit Acorn Bank | Lake District | National Trust. Please note, National Trust charges also apply.
The Trampers are available to hire daily for 2 hour sessions, both morning and afternoon.

It is fantastic news that Acorn Bank now has two Trampers available for visitors to use! Having multiple vehicles means even more people can enjoy the herb gardens and woodland trails together. It is a wonderful step toward making this beautiful National Trust site fully accessible for everyone!
