We are changing our name from Lake District Mobility to Outdoor Mobility in the coming week.
Why are we doing this?
We have wanted to do this for a long time in order to reflect the greater geographical area our service covers. Although our charity started up in the Lake District, we now have sites spreading across the North of England. As well as our partnership with sites in the North York Moors, we are soon to announce several new sites which will bridge the gap in between (more news of this exciting development will follow soon).
We aim to provide our membership a network of amazing places to access in the north and we are working hard to make even more places accessible.
So, what happens in practice?
Our website will look and function the same as before. The only difference is that it will become www.outdoormobility.org (this link will not work until the change is completed next week). If you do go to any of our current website addresses don't worry as you will be forwarded automatically to the equivalent page on www.outdoormobility.org.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best wishes from the (soon to be) Outdoor Mobility Team.
So delighted that you are continuing to expand. I have been a member of Countryside Mobility for a while in the South West and only discovered you in the north by chance. We had several lovely days out when in Yorkshire a few weeks ago, enjoying Sutton Bank and then Dalby Forest. Thank you for your good work.
First time I have booked a Tramper, I always Liked to walk but now I need a mobility scooter, so it was fantastic to find out about the Tramper when we were at Sutton Bank national park, had a fabulous time with my partner and dog. thankyou
