Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway

Tramper Hire in Ravenglass by the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, an Outdoor Mobility Tramper hire site location.

Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway
Ravenglass Station

Times: TBC

Gradient: On the route to Muncaster Castle the track is rough with some steep ramps and cambers.

The Tramper at Ravenglass allows you to explore the village with it's beautiful main street and lovely grassy promenade. This has magnificent views over the estuary in to which three rivers flow, the rivers Irt, Mite and Esk.

The second longer option is to take the Tramper to the Roman Baths (which is a gentle trail to this point). These ruins are incredible with the original Roman mortar still holding strong.

Beyond the baths the track gradually becomes rougher, with occasional steep parts, as it winds its way up from the sea to the gates of Muncaster Castle. Unfortunately at present the Tramper can not be taken into the castle grounds but there is a cafe at the entrance if you would like refreshments before your return trip.

One Tramper is available daily at ??

Members must be accompanied on the route by another person during the Tramper hire session.

All Tramper users must stay on the designated Tramper route path.
