The inspiration behind Lake District Mobility goes out on a Tramper!
Frank is the grandfather-in-law of our Charity Development Manager, Julia, and the inspiration behind Lake District Mobility. An experienced mountaineer in his younger years, Frank has long held a desire to return to the mountains he so loves, but has been held back by limited mobility. This gave Julia the idea of getting all-terrain mobility scooters to outdoor venues in the Lake District. With Lake District Mobility’s Tramper hired from Whinlatter, Frank’s wish was finally fulfilled as he took to his beloved mountains once again.
Frank expressed his joy at being able to enjoy the views simply, but to the point. “I felt alive”!
