Howick Hall Gardens & Arboretum is known as “the hidden gem of Northumberland” and is also the ancestral seat of the Earls Grey since 1319.
The Tramper allows you to explore the fantastic gardens created by the 5th Earl Grey and his family and some of the arboretum, which contains shrubs and trees from all over the world.
You can take a break from exploring in the Earl Grey Tea House for a bite to eat and a cup of Earl Grey Tea.
Admission Fees to Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum Apply.
The Route: The gardens are beautiful and the Tramper allows exploration of most of the tracks. There is a variety of surfaces, it can be rough and steep in sections, but all the paths indicated on the Tramper route map are within the capabilities of the Tramper.
The Arboretum section of the route is more challenging with more rough sections but again those paths on the Tramper route are within the capabilities of the Tramper.
Members must be accompanied on the route by another person during the Tramper hire session, due to limited or no mobile signal.
All Tramper users must stay on the designated Tramper route path.
