Times: Wednesday & Thursday 2pm

Distance: 1.6km / 1 mile

Gradient: Undulating, off-road and gravel paths

Danby Lodge National Park Centre gives visitors the chance to come and discover the beauty of the North York Moors National Park.

The Tramper route explores the grounds of the Lodge; you travel along the banks of the River Esk, past the adventure playground and on into the meadow which has lovely views up to Danby Castle.

You can then cross the road to Crow Wood and follow the woodland trails looking out for the bird and animal life in the dappled light of the trees.

Back at the Lodge, there is something for all the family, with the climbing wall for kids, the café, changing exhibitions and second hand book shop.

The trails around the grounds are approximately 1.6km or 1 mile in length and each session is 2 hours long.

Members must be accompanied on the route by another person during the tramper hire session, due to limited or no mobile signal.

All Tramper users must stay on the designated Tramper route.
