Times: 10.30 am and 1.30 pm (for 2.5hours)

Gradient: Few steep gradients, off-road

 

Explore the grounds of the magnificent Scarborough Castle. These incredible castle ruins, looked after by English Heritage, are steeped in history from the Vikings to the Civil War. Alongside this fascinating history you will will be treated to magnificent coastal views.

 
The hire slots are at 10:30am and 1:30pm. 
The sessions last for 2 hours 30 minutes.

 

A valid English Heritage Membership or Scarborough Castle Ticket is required to access the Tramper (these can be purchased on site). Disabled visitors and members can bring an accompanying companion free of charge.

If you are not going to be accompanied by somebody else on your visit, we advise bringing a mobile phone for safety reasons. If this is not possible, please tell the Scarborough team when you arrive.

​

All Tramper users must stay on the designated Tramper route path.

You need to be an Outdoor Mobility member to book a Tramper.

If you are not yet a member please select and pay for the Membership option that suits you best.

Before you arrive:

  • Before arriving at the site, you have two options to book your session. 

  • Outdoor Mobility Members, or those who wish to be, can book the Tramper.

  • If you wish to use the Tramper as a single use without purchasing a membership you can book free of charge directly with Scarborough Castle by emailing Scarborough.Castle@english-heritage.org.uk or calling 01723 372451. Bookings via this channel must be made 48hrs hours in advance and hirers must ensure they have confirmation before traveling.
